The Hollywood Knolls Community Club

Serving the community since 1939

What is the HKCC?

The Hollywood Knolls Community Club (HKCC) is a not-for-profit corporation, which began in 1939 as a garden club and social organization for residents of the Hollywood Knolls. It is the oldest hillside residents’ association in Los Angeles. Over the years, the Club has grown to include Lakeridge Estates and the Hollywood Manor. The HKCC now represents approximately 750 households.

What does the HKCC do?

The Club’s mission has broadened considerably over the years. Our concerns now include traffic, noise, graffiti, development and other issues, that affect the security, value and comfort of our homes and the overall quality of life in our neighborhood. Over the years, the Club has worked hard to ensure the lands in and around our neighborhoods are developed and used in ways that minimize impacts. This means we are continually involved in discussions and negotiations with developers, corporate neighbors, and government representatives. The Club works with the elected Council member and council staff, along with other departments of city, county and state government to help us in these negotiations.
